December 8, 2015: Stephanie Villalba was awarded an Ike Muslow
Predoctoral Fellowship to fund her studies examining the therapeutic
efficacy of KCNQ channel opener drugs in preventing seizures and sudden
death in genetic mouse models of epilepsy.

was selected to participate in the American Epilepsy Society fellows
program at the annual meeting held in Philadelphia, PA.
October 23, 2015: Martinique Lamb won 3rd place at the LSUHSC-S Medical Student Research Symposium for her poster describing her summer research project in the lab.
October, 2015: Edward Glasscock was elected for a second term as vice-president of the Shreveport Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience.
October 2, 2015: Stephanie Villalba
won 2nd place for her poster at Neuroscience Research Day, sponsored by
the Shreveport Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience.
September, 2015: The Glasscock lab was awarded a 2-year
grant from Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE) to identify
biosignal biomarkers of increased risk for sudden death in epilepsy.
